Support the 2018 American Indian Movement's Longest Walk 5.3. Founded by Dennis Banks, the Longest Walk begins in Washington State in Febuary, and ends in July in Washington DC. As the walkers make their way across the country, they are raising awareness to end Domestic Violence and Addiction. In the US military, the Purple Heart is presented to those who have been wounded while serving. For the survivors of Domestic Violence, who may also be wounded both physically and emotionally, the color is meant to be a symbol of peace, courage, survival, honor and dedication to ending violence.
